12 Days of Christmas: Our entryway

Thank goodness I am doing this little 12 days of Christmas series because I’m here in Atlanta for a business trip and it is temporarily snapping me out of my Christmas mind frame!  My day of listening to loud cell phone conversations on planes and in airport gates has me feeling less than eloquent, so I’ll keep this brief and photo focused.

After finishing our blue and green holiday door swag, I decided to continue the theme on the entryway table that you can see as you walk in the swag-donning door.

I created a small Christmas tree by placing some branches in floral foam inside a turquoise bucket that I had on hand.  (That’s the benefit of having a variety of evergreens in your yard.)  You might recognize the books from our fall/Thanksgiving display, but I’m liking the subtle Christmas feeling in this spot.  Oh, and I scored the NOEL letters on super clearance one year (for $1.75).

And the ornaments…

I found these pretty glass pine cones at a local shop (on sale for about 50 cents per piece) and fell in love.  They are perfect for my little Charlie Brown tree!

And the whole thing really does coordinate with the door swag (I’m now wishing I had taken a picture of the tree through the door, because it does look really nice…if I do say so myself!)

Do you like having multiple trees (or pretend trees) around your house?

Psst…I’m getting into the holiday spirit by writing 12 holiday themed posts leading up to Christmas.  In case you missed it, here are the other posts: Day 1: Felt Ornaments; Day 2: Holiday Door Swag; Day 3: Coconut Snowball Cookies; Day 4: Our Christmas Tree

I looooove those blue pinecone ornaments! I think your entry way is darling! And yes, we have two trees in our house this year; one in the kitchen and the big one in the living room. It definitely makes me happy!

Those little ornaments are so cute. We have an extra fake tree, from college days, this year my husband had the great idea of covering it in lights then setting it on a little table in one of our dormer windows. I love it and we’ve gotten so many compliments on it. We’ll be doing it again next year for sure!
