12 Days of Christmas: Door swag
It was beginning to look a lot like Christmas inside our house. But outside? My fall wreath was confusing the UPS lady who thought that the ridiculous number of packages arriving at our house surely meant that it was Christmas time.
So, I decided to make all things right in the world by Christmasfying our front door with a DIY holiday swag. And it was just in time for week five of the NewlyWoodwards Dare to DIY Challenge (our challenge was to make something to deck our halls)!
This door decor isn’t super fancy or special, but it comes together quickly and looks just as nice as a traditional wreath.
And the best news about this project? I don’t need to write out a tutorial because I already did when I made something similar two years ago (although this year’s was super easy because I just wrapped some ribbon around to secure the branches, and make a bow)!
Have you made any items to deck your halls this year? As you saw last week, I also made some felt ornaments. And of course you can check out my fabric/button tree hanging from last year and my stocking from the year before. Even better, pop on over to NewlyWoodwards for more project ideas!
Happy hall decking!
Psst…I’m getting into the holiday spirit by writing 12 holiday themed posts leading up to Christmas. In case you missed it, here are the other posts: Day 1: Felt ornaments…

Love it! Did you chop down the tree yourself! eheheh. I love the ornaments you added.

This is very pretty! My front doors are begging for something Christmas-y, but I just haven’t made a decision yet.

I just love the peacock colour scheme that is making its way into many bloggers’ decorating this year!

It came out great! I love the color combo you chose for the ornaments. I posted my felt ornament today, and found a great little video online that describes how to separate embroidery floss! Apparently my floss-biting skills aren’t as sophisticated as yours.

This is really pretty, Erin! Love the different types of branches and the shape. Also, the colors are so fresh!
Thanks again for linking up this week. you are the best!

So pretty and simple! I like that it’s different than a traditional wreath.

I like it! It would totally work for my front door, which leads right into my blue & green decorated dining room. And there’s a lot at the end of my street selling Christmas trees, I’m sorta tempted to go hunting tonight, after closing, if you catch my drift. Ha.
