We have walls
Our second floor construction project is really taking shape! We were thrilled that the drywall guys finished hanging all the walls last Friday. We walked around the space all weekend in awe that our house might actually soon be complete.
You might be bored by these pictures, but I am showing you anyway because I am just so darn excited!
First up is the new hallway…the door is gone and you can now see down to where the hall will end…
And the soon-to-be nursery is looking good…
This is where you people who have closet-lacking houses can start to get jealous because the nursery boasts this closet:
And then there’s not one, but two, hallway closets!
Crazy, right? And of course there is the other bedroom, which also has a decent closet.
The guys have been here this week putting joint compound (mud) on all of the screws and seams. The whole mudding process definitely takes time (lots of sanding, reapplying and drying), but we are hopeful that we will be painting soon!
If you have actually made it through all of the pictures and want to look back on the progress we’ve made, check out the first post about this little construction project. Enjoy!

It looks great – and TWO hallway closets!?! So awesome.

Totally jealous of that closet in the nursery! How can I get one of those in my bedroom? Things are really taking shape!

So jealous. My budding nursery has a tiny 2ft wide closet which is barely deep enough for normal-sized hangers.
It really looks great!

We purchased our house in 10/99. It had 4 bedrooms and one
rinky-dink bathroom. Before we moved in we combined 2 bedrooms to a master and borrowed to make the main bathroom bigger. I had drop cloth walls for almost a year in the master(of course, hubby was the general contractor, job supervisor, etc). I was … interesting, to say the least! Isn’t construction fun!
