Tasty Tuesday: Blackberry Muffins
I am usually the baker around our house. So, you can imagine my delight when I came home from a work event last Wednesday night and Chris announced that not only had he picked our blackberries, but that he wanted to bake muffins. It was my lucky day!
After some research, Chris decided on this recipe (perhaps because it includes sour cream and butter!), and went to work. He insisted that he make the muffins on his own, but I did make several trips to the kitchen for questions that arose…
- “Ummm honey…I might have used baking soda instead of powder…”
- “Where is the cinnamon?”
- “We are out of vanilla; can I use maple extract instead?”
- “Can I melt butter in the microwave?”
- “What do they mean by ‘don’t overmix’?”
- “How full do you fill the muffin cups?”
But he really did it all on his own, I swear…
Don’t the fresh blackberries look delicious?

Those look really delish! I was wondering what I was going to do with all of the blackberries growing around my house… this seems like a wonderful solution!
