Back from the dead

Awhile back I bragged about the fact that I found the perfect plant for my cute new seashell planter.  Having black thumbs, I knew there was a chance that my little plant wouldn’t survive very long.  Making matters worse, the plant lives in the guest bedroom, so it’s easy to forget about watering it.

I was in the guest bedroom last night wrapping gifts when I saw something reflecting in the mirror that caught my eye…

I knew it was only a matter of time.  After all, it had survived a whole three months.  Three months to the date, in fact!  Considering that this is the one plant we have in our house and I could barely keep it alive for one quarter of the year, I thought about giving up.

But, I rallied and gave the plant some water that it sorely needed.  About an hour later, signs of hope were starting to show…

I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best in the morning.  When I peeked in this morning, I was truly shocked at my revival skills.  There it was, looking strong as ever!

Okay, maybe not as strong as ever, but it certainly has a heartbeat again.  It’s a Christmas miracle, don’t you think?

Totally a Christmas Miracle! :) I definitely have a black thumb, so the hubby is in charge of the greenery in the house! PS am totally going to get one of those plants if they are that tricky to kill!

  2. Congrats on bringing the plant back to life. I’ve got a black thumb too but this gives me hope I can turn it around!
