Seashell Shocker
I was at HomeGoods recently when this little white ceramic beauty jumped right into my cart when I wasn’t looking. For a mere $3, I thought I would make its every dream come true and take it home with me (it twisted my arm, really).

I wasn’t quite sure what I would do with it, so it hung out in the guest bedroom until a little inspiration struck…

…subtle hints of green and pink that would be a perfect accent for the guest bedroom re-do, and would happen to fit right inside the cute shell. So, for another $3, I picked up this Fittonia “Juanita” plant from Lowe’s. I know, I don’t have such a great track record with house plants, but I’m going to give it a try. After all, the description says that it is “easy to grow.” With some potting soil left over from the summer, I replanted this little gem right inside the shell. Voila:

Any bets on how long it will live? I’ll keep you posted.

don’t be afraid to pinch off the tiny new leaves to keep it tiny and cute, like your awesome planter…
